Personal relationships and political ideals come head to head in this diverting comedy of humiliation. Agathe Villanova is a professional woman whose feminist convictions have persuaded her to enter politics. She returns to her childhood home in the South of France to help her sister arrange the effect of their late mother’s. There she is persuaded by the son of the family’s housekeeper to be the subject of a documentary on ’successful women’. A smart and funny portrayal of middle-class French life, family, feminism and film making.
Daw perthnasau personol a delfrydau gwleidyddol yn wyneb yn wyneb yn y comedi difyrrus hon am gywilydd. Mae Agathe Villanova yn fenyw broffesiynol gyda argyhoeddiadau ffeministaidd sydd wedi ei pherswadio i droi at wleidyddiaeth. Mae’n dychwelyd at gartref ei phlentyndod yn Ne Ffrainc i helpu ei chwaer i drefnu pethau ar ôl marwolaeth ei mam. Yno, caiff ei pherswadio gan fab y wraig sy’n cadw’r tŷ i fod yn destun rhaglen ddogfen am ‘gwragedd llwyddiannus’. Portread doniol a chraff o fywyd dosbarth canol Ffrengig, ffeministiaeth, teulu a gwneud ffilmiau.
