This funny and moving tale of two lost souls stumbling towards maturity captures the magic of pre-Giuliani New York in the summer of 1994, when the streets pulsed with hip hop and wafted with the sweet aroma of marijuana. Troubled high school student Luke Shapiro (Josh Peck) forms a friendship with Dr. Jeffrey Squires (Ben Kingsley), a psychiatrist and kindred lost soul who proposes Luke trade him weed for therapy sessions.
